Mix Fifteen

Mix Fifteen is here just in time for the Easter break, and so if you're planning on partying, then why not get in the groove with VibeRide's latest offering.

This one comes at you with half a dozen newcomers to add even more fizz to the funk we've got going on. Of course there's still our beloved regulars bringing their own classic grooves and we reckon it all blends together rather nicely indeed. Let's check out the playlist:
1). James Taylor Quartet - "All Over Now" from their album of the same name
2). Evelyn King - "Your Personal Touch" from her '85 album "A Long Time Coming"
3). Stevie Wonder - "Do I Do" (short version) from The Definitive Collection
4). Chaka Khan - "Life Is A Dance" from her 1979 album "Chaka"
5). Brainstorm - "Journey To The Light" from their 1978 of the same name
6). Brothers Johnson - "Ride-O-Rocket" from their 1978 album "Blam!!"
7). Lenny White - "Time" from his 1977 album "Streamline"
8). Pockets - "Come Go With Me" - from their 1977 album "Come Go With Us"
9). Roy Ayers - "Fever" from his 1979 album of the same name
10). Incognito - "Love Joy Understanding" from their 2009 album "Tales From The Beach"
We came across this JT Quartet mix recently and loved its vibe, so in it went. Evelyn "champagne" King, as she's known, also features for the first time and you'll know her from her big hits back in the eighties "Shame" and "Love Come Down". But as you'll hear in this mix, she's had some other big tunes too. This Chaka Khan track is a real early one from her debut solo album and you've just gotta love the message in this song. Brainstorm are a new one for us, they came via recommendation, and we've liked what we've heard from them. Lenny White was an artist I was curious about as I'd heard he was one of Mark King's (level 42) main influences. Pockets were another one of interest; this time because we'd heard that Verdine White (Earth, Wind & Fire) had produced them on Kalimba records. We like their sound a lot.
